iOS 6.0.2 Released for iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, Download Now!

NuttGuy December 18, 2012

Apple has surprised us today by sending out an update to iOS for the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. The update does not bring much, and unfortunately doesn’t bring about a new Maps application but it is an update none the less. Click after the break for more details.

This is a bit of an awkward update for Apple since most known that iOS 6.1 is just around the corner, especially with iOS 6.1 beta 4 releasing just yesterday. This update doesn’t bring any of the updates that we all really want, mostly Maps, but it does fix a small bug that could have affected your Wi-Fi.

Another thing about this update is that it is only for the iPhone 5 and iPad mini, which is a huge rarity for Apple. The Wi-Fi related bug seems to only affect the two devices so that is why the rest of the devices have been left without the upgrade. This though still has an awkward fractionating effect on the users as I’m sure uninformed users will soon say “Why don’t I have the latest version of iOS?” Just know that this update doesn’t affect most users and is very, very minor.

Here is the full official change log in case you were wondering.
